Abstract: | As úlceras por pressão são um problema constante para as instituições de saúde. Uma vez instaladas, podem comprometer a assistência prestada e a qualidade de vida do paciente, aumentando o tempo de internação e os custos principalmente quando se trata dos pacientes críticos. O presente estudo tem como objetivo identificar na literatura a ocorrência de úlceras por pressão em pacientes críticos. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa. Foram utilizadas como fontes de levantamento bibliográfico bases de dados pesquisadas por meio da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde foram elas: LILACS, BDENF, IBECS, CUMED, MEDLINE e Coleciona SUS. Foram selecionados para compor a amostra vinte e quatro artigos. Os resultados mostraram que as úlceras por pressão em pacientes críticos são frequentes, com uma incidência superior a 25% na maioria das amostras, a região de maior ocorrência foi a sacral e o grau de estadiamento foi estágio ll. O sexo masculino e a idade avançada foram identificados como fatores que predispõem ao desenvolvimento de úlceras por pressão. Percebeu-se que são necessários trabalhos da equipe de saúde reforçando para uma assistência voltada na prevenção desse agravo. |
Abstract: | Pressure Ulcers are a constant problem for health institutions. Once established, may compromise the care provided and the quality of life of patients, increasing the length of stay and costs especially when it comes to critical patients. This study aims to identify the literature the occurrence of ulcers pressure in critically ill patients. This is an integrative review. Were used as sources of bibliographic databases searched through the Virtual Health Library were they: LILACS, BDENF, IBECS, CUMED, MEDLINE and collects SUS. Were selected for the sample twenty-four articles. The results showed that the pressure ulcers in critically ill patients are common, with an incidence greater than 25% in most samples, the region most affected was the sacral lesions and the degree of staging was the stage II. Males and old age are factors that predispose to the involvement of pressure ulcers. We realized that are necessary work of the health team strengthening for assistance aimed at preventing these events. |
