O SUS frente à crise financeira

Abstract

This article seeks to identify the perspectives for the Unified Health System (SUS) in the face of the financial crisis that affects Brazil and the possible reflexes to maintain the health treatment to the user in accordance with the federal constitution. Addressed the spheres of government and their attributions regarding the SUS, portrayed the effects of Constitutional Amendment (EC) 95 for the future financing of Health, and the need for public policies that strengthen the federated entities in defense of SUS. It demonstrated the role of social control in helping to formulate public policies. Need training courses for health counselors to improve social control. A historical line was drawn from the year 1923 until the date of the creation of the SUS, whose principle of health is the right of all inhabitants of the country and the duty of the state to promote health, such as physical, mental, work. It was used as bibliographic sources a research of the IBGE, academic articles related to the subject, besides books and periodicals, being a descriptive and qualitative methodology, that made possible the perception of the public health in Brazil until legal concretion of SUS. It has demonstrated the recognition that the SUS is one of the best public policies for health, and that the population recognizes that health has improved over the years and needs to go even further. He recognized the need for public managers prepared for good service to SUS users.
