Abstract

Municipality in the central region of the state, in the metallurgical area, Sete Lagoas is known as the land of enchanted lakes. The main economic activity of the city is the primary steel. A major problem faced in the Family Health Strategy Union is the Occupational Health. Daily are met several patients with symptoms related directly or indirectly to occupational and environmental issues. The objective of this study was to develop an intervention proposal for the implementation of an operating group focused on the prevention of Cumulative Trauma Disorders in steel workers attended the FHS Union, in Sete Lagoas. A bibliography search in the Virtual Library database in Health (BVS), with the descriptors: occupational health, MSDs and prevention. Also Ministry of Health of materials were investigated. The intervention project will be through the educational work carried out by a multidisciplinary team, seeking to intervene in health and physical well being and mental workers, making them aware of the accident prevention processes and diseases and subsidizing diseases surveillance action on the health worker focused mainly on Cumulative Trauma Disorders . One of the challenges of Occupational Health in Primary is to get workers and health teams incorporate into their daily practice the understanding that the work is one of the determinants of the health-disease process and the engagement needs of the whole system of health to guarantee comprehensive care to workers.
