Abstract: | Ideology considered ontologically serves as guidance for certain social practices that occur in consonance with interests of a specific class and promote the maintenance or overcoming of certain conflicts in society, finding in affectivity a facilitator of ideology reproduction. In the activity of domestic workers the affectivity can be considered as an important factor in its relation to the work environment. In this perspective, our objective was to analyze through film analysis the constitutive content of the subjectivity of domestic workers that reproduce a determined ideology pervaded by emotional elements by analyzing the Brazilian film “The second mother”. The subjectivity of domestic workers is built on the ideology that permeates the employment relationship in which they are involved and that the relations cultivated in the family sphere end up gaining an affective nature which sometimes prevents the development of formal work relations and reinforces some positions of workers in different class strata. |
