| Abstract: | Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as ocorrências do clítico SE em artigos acadêmicos em português do Brasil (PB). Em foco estão os casos em que o SE, considerado apassivador pela gramática tradicional, age como indeterminador, dispensando a concordância prescritiva e indicando a presença de uma estratégia de impessoalização (Nunes, 1991; Bagno, 2001 e 2000). Para o estudo, foram coletados artigos científicos no Corpus de Artigos Acadêmicos do Português Brasileiro (CAPB – FALE - MG) da área de Ciências Biológicas. Os dados revelaram o uso substancial do SE como indeterminador, bem como uma mudança do SE apassivador para a função de indeterminador. Esses resultados apresentaram também impactos significativos na concordância verbal, bem como na noção de neutralidade no texto acadêmico em PB. |
| Abstract: | This work aims to analyze the occurrences of clitic SE in academic papers in Brazilian Portuguese (BP). In focus there are instances in which SE, typically considered passive by Traditional Grammar, acts as index of indetermination, clashing with prescriptive grammar rules of agreement, while also indicating the use of a strategy of deagentivization (Nunes, 1991; Bagno, 2001 and 2000). In order to carry the research, scientific papers were collected from the Corpus of Academic Articles of Brazilian Portuguese (CAPB – FALE - UFMG) from the area of Biological Sciences. The data revealed a significant use of SE as an index of indetermination. They also pointed to a change from the use of passive SE towards indetermination. The phenomenon has also proved to have impacted verbal agreement, as well as the notion of neutrality within the academic text in BP. |
