Abstract

In the 90s in Brazil emerges the Family Health Program (FHP), with a changing proposal of the assistencial model from a reorganization of the basic care, through the monitoring to the health (SOUZA, 2005). In this historical context emerges in 1994 of a very rudimentary form in the Joaquim Murtinho’ community a health team. Located in the rural zone in the city of congonhas, Minas Gerais. It appeared as a “health post” in which doctors and nursing technicians worked weekly. Dental services were implemented in 2004 to the team keeping the same curative and technicalities model. In this task we present a proposal of intervention in the ESF Joaquin Murtinho, in the City of Congonhas, Minas Gerais. After to evaluate the community where the ESF is inserted, as for the buccal health, it was observed as a critical point the deficient removal of the bacterial plate caused mainly for not using dental wire. This proposal aims to guide the population attended by the ESF team about the importance of maintenance of the buccal health. To sensitize the ESF’ professionals on the importance the daily buccal hygienic, prioritizing the implementation of the inhabit of using dental wire, to promote next to community the efficient technique of to make use of brush and dental wire. Quantitatively to evaluate the use of dental wire, and to define necessary actions of promotion and prevention and supplies to implement the proposal. We will use for such the resources of the family health program, dealing to prevention through orientation, starting from familiar nucleus. So we will give to the population resources to their self-care, stimulating creation of a sanitary conscience.
