O plantão psicológico gestáltico : uma proposta de assistência psicológica na Associação de Proteção e Assistência aos Condenados - APAC

Abstract

The present work intends to discuss the importance of expanding the psychological service in a male APAC in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, through the implementation of Psychological Duty from the perspective of Gestalt-therapy. For this, the dynamics of the Total Institution will be briefly presented, using reference authors on the subject, such as Foucault and Goffman and identifying the prison system as a total and disciplinary institution, in addition to contextualizing the two Brazilian prison systems: conventional prison system and the Association Protection and Assistance to Convicts - APAC. Later, concepts of Gestalt-therapy will be elucidated to discuss the effects of deprivation of liberty for the incarcerated. In addition to disserting on the role of psychologists in the prison context, reporting my experience as a psychologist in an APAC in order to justify the inspiration for this work and, finally, characterize the Psychological Duty and dialogue with Gestalt-therapy. The literature found on the role of the Gestalt-therapist in the prison system and the gestalt psychological shift are incipient, indicating that this is a field to be explored.
