| Abstract: | A presente tese busca comprovar o papel exercido pelo cineasta Steven Spielberg na perpetuação do próprio Cinema, na divulgação e salvaguarda de sua história e memória, utilizando-se de estratégias intertextuais, como citações, homenagens, releitura de gêneros e estilos, de forma a celebrar sua paixão pela arte que o contaminou a ponto de determinar suas escolhas profissionais e artísticas. Para tanto, são desenvolvidas análises de exemplares da obra do cineasta iniciada na época da chamada Nova Hollywood, nas décadas de 1960-1970, e de grande penetração popular. Spielberg é um dos responsáveis diretos não só pela continuidade e pela revisão da narrativa clássica hollywoodiana, como também pela incorporação de elementos e influências de outras cinematografias, estabelecendo as normas do que se conhece como cinema industrial contemporâneo. A relevância de sua obra, objeto deste estudo, se faz sentir na influência que exerce sobre as gerações posteriores e auxilia na reflexão sobre a importância da memória cinematográfica e, consequentemente, na preservação desta memória. |
| Abstract: | This thesis seeks to prove the role played by filmmaker Steven Spielberg in the perpetuation of Cinema itself, in the dissemination and safeguarding of its history and memory, using intertextual strategies, such as quotes, tributes, reinterpretation of genres and styles, in order to celebrate his passion for art that contaminated him to the point of determining his professional and artistic choices. To this end, analyzes of examples of the filmmaker's work started at the time of the so-called New Hollywood, in the 1960s-1970s, and of great popular penetration, are developed. Spielberg is directly responsible not only for the continuity and revision of the classic Hollywood narrative, but also for the incorporation of elements and influences from other cinematographies, establishing the norms of what is known as contemporary industrial cinema. The relevance of his work, object of this study, is felt in the influence it exerts on later generations and helps in the reflection on the importance of cinematographic memory and, consequently, in the preservation of this memory. |
