| Abstract: | O câncer de colo de útero ainda hoje é uma das principais causas de morte em mulheres no Brasil e no mundo. No Brasil estima-se ser a terceira neoplasia maligna encontrada em mulheres. O exame de Papanicolaou é um eficiente método de prevenção ao câncer de colo de útero. Este estudo tem como objetivo melhorar a qualidade de cobertura do exame de Papanicolaou em mulheres em idade fértil na equipe Dourada do centro de saúde Mantiqueira, promover a conscientização dos profissionais de saúde, conhecer o motivo da não adesão ao exame e orientar sobre a importância da realização do exame Papanicolaou/citopatológico para prevenção do câncer de colo de útero e sua detecção precoce, podendo garantir até 100% de cura da doença. |
| Abstract: | Cervical cancer still a major cause of death in women in Brazil and the in the world. In Brazil is estimated to be the third malignancy found in women. The Pap smear is an effective method of preventing the cervical cancer. The study aims to improve the quality of coverage of Pap smears in women of childbearing age in health facilities, promote awareness of health professionals, know the reason for not joining the examination and advise about the importance of performing Pap smears. Pap smear for cancer prevention and cervical cancer early detection, and can guarantee up to 100% cure of the disease. |
