Abstract

Good nutrition in childhood promotes optimal growth and development. Baby food is more than providing nutrition; It is an opportunity for the social, psychological and even educational interaction between the parents and the baby. This work aims to build educational material to equip the nursing staff on the guidelines related to breastfeeding. This study deals with a descriptive research, where the strategy used to search for articles was the inclusion of descriptors associated controlled manner, resulting in 581 articles, and after applying the inclusion criteria get 6 articles. The articles were read in full, exposed in a frame and then presented in discursive form so it could be built educational material. The educational material construction process consisted of five steps: The first step to selection of content left of observations and professional livings with the AC sector in which it was revealed that most professionals do not realize the guidelines and when they arrive to do -las do not follow a standard in relation to these guidelines, making it difficult for the mothers receive key information related to breastfeeding. In the second stage was carried out literature narrative review, the Virtual Health Library using the following descriptors in associated health: breast-feeding; nursing; health education, to raise specific issues about breastfeeding. In the third stage as the decision on the educational strategy, if dicidiu by folder. In the fourth stage sought to visual images to the folder construction, where the images were taken from the Internet, to be in the public domain and does not need one to use. In the fifth step has to educational strategy, production of the folder. According to the text of the articles come up the following categories for construction material: advantages of breastfeeding, the most common breastfeeding problems, proper latch and positioning and breastmilk.
