Title: Projeto de Intervenção: atividades educativas para mães de RNs internados em unidades de cuidados intensivos intermediários

Abstract: INTRODUÇÃO:A assistência ao RN em UTI neonatal tem passado por importantes transformações, com base na filosofia do cuidado centrado na família,o suporte à família e participação dos pais nos cuidados diretos ao RN, assim como a inclusão destes nas decisões sobre seus filhos, devem seruma das prioridades nos serviços de neonatologia. OBJETIVOS: Implantar um projeto educativo para promover o empoderamento dos pais nos cuidados aos RNs de Risco, contribuindo para reduzir a morbimortalidade destes Recém-Nascidos. METODOLOGIA: Para promoção do empoderamento das mães nos cuidados com os RNs foram realizadas oficinas com as mães, sendo utilizados recursos de apresentações, dinâmicas e trabalhos manuais para enfocar os seguintes temas: prematuridade, aleitamento materno, higiene, lavagem das mãos, temperatura corporal, seguimento pós-alta. RESULTADOS: Tivemos a participação de90% das mães, de forma integrativa, dinâmica e com interesse genuíno nos temas abordados. CONCLUSÃO: Ao término das atividades propostas durante as oficinas as mães avaliaram o momento oralmente, e posteriormente os profissionais envolvidos na assistência da criança preencheram formulário de avaliação das mães. CONTRIBUIÇÕES: O projeto tem potencial de impactar positivamente o cuidar do RN no momento da internação, e principalmente em domicílio, quando o RN receberá assistência somente da família.
Abstract: INTRODUCTION: Assistance to newborns in the neonatal ICU has undergone important transformations, based on the philosophy of family-centered care, family support, and parental involvement in direct care of the newborn, as well as their inclusion in decisions about their children, should be a priorityin neonatology services. OBJECTIVES: To implement an educational project to promote the empowerment of parents in the care of risk RNs, contributing to reduce the morbidity and mortality of these newborns. METHODOLOGY: In order to promote mothers' empowerment in the care of the newborns, workshops were held with the mothers, using presentations, dynamics and manual labor to focus on the following topics: prematurity, breastfeeding, hygiene, handwashing, body temperature, post-discharge follow-up. RESULTS: We had the participation of 90% of the mothers, in an integrative, dynamic and with genuine interest in the topics addressed. CONCLUSION: At the end of the activities proposed during the workshops, the mothers evaluated the moment orally, and subsequently the professionals involved in the child 's care completed the mothers' evaluation form. CONTRIBUTIONS: The project has the potential to positively impact the care of the newborn at the time of hospitalization, and especially at home, when the newborn will receive assistance from the family alone.
