| Abstract: | O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar, de forma breve, um estudo onomástico-toponímico sobre a ocorrência do termo Buriti e de suas variantes em uma das doze mesorregiões do Estado de Minas Gerais: a Central Mineira. Para esta análise, orientamo-nos pelos pressupostos teórico-metodológicos da Toponímia propostos por Dauzat (1926) e por Dick (1990a; 1990b) e pelos procedimentos metodológicos adotados pelo Projeto ATEMIG – Atlas Toponímico do Estado de Minas Gerais – do qual inclusive provêm os nossos dados sincrônicos. Os dados toponímicos analisados possibilitaram-nos compreender melhor que a formação do espaço toponomástico está intimamente ligada não só ao contexto ambiental, mas também social de um povo. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this research is to present, in a brief way, an onomastic-toponymic study on the occurrence of the term Buritiand its variants in one of the twelve regions of the Minas Gerais state: the Central Mineira Region. For this analysis, we followed the references, theoretical and methodological, proposed by Dauzat (1926) and by Dick (1990a; 1990b) to the Toponymy, and methodological procedures adopted by the ATEMIG Project - Minas Gerais state toponymic Atlas - which our synchronous data come from. The toponymic data analyses showed that the formation of the toponomastic space is closely connected to the environmental and social contexts of a group. |
