A realização do estágio supervisionado em Biblioteconomia no contexto do trabalho remoto em tempos de pandemia: relato de experiência na Biblioteca da Escola de Veterinária da UFMG

Abstract

This article highlights the supervised internship in Librarianship during the pandemic, aiming to report how experiences of the team of the Library of the Veterinary School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) carried out between March and October 2020, remotely, due to the health crisis caused by the new coronavirus, which caused a worldwide pandemic of infectious disease called Covid-19. One modality adopted is participatory research, which seeks community involvement -library staff and interns -in analyzing their reality, with a view to assisting in the promotion of a process of social transformation that brings benefits to those involved. The methodology used was bibliographic research and documentary research of archives of the library of the Veterinary School. With the pre-defined schedule of activities, remote meetings were held, via the Google Meet platform, to discuss and evaluate the daily tasks that would be performed remotely, adapted for the best service to the user. Among the challenges imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, it was necessary for libraries to reinvent themselves, seeking solutions, managing and offering their products and services. Among the consequences, it is possible to affirm that there was success in the internship carried out remotely, as a result of the collective work to achieve the objectives and goals, which improved the entire library team, together with the interns.
