dc.description.abstract	Invited to testify about his unique encounter with the Writings of J. Lacan, Antônio Teixeira affirms that there is no theoretical appropriation of this book that can be dissociated from the testimonial meaning of its acquisition. In the course of this article, the author contextualizes the publication of the Writings in relation to the effects of the recent foundation of the French School of Psychoanalysis and to the ethical imperative of restoring the system of thought in which the freudian text is distorted in its instrumental appropriation by the context of the ego psychology.	pt_BR
