| Abstract: | Um método de pesquisa deve considerar a geração de conhecimento e a utilidade prática dos resultados. O rigor metodológico deve ser priorizado, a fim de validar adequadamente a pesquisa. A design science é uma nova metodologia que auxilia as organizações e pesquisadores na solução de problemas reais, além de possibilitar a generalização. Já design science research(DSR) é o método de pesquisa que indica um novo modo para a produção de conhecimentos relevantes, focado no projeto de artefatos.Diversas áreas podem utilizar a DSR, dentre elas sistemas de informação, gestão organizacional e ciência da informação. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar a DSR como método de pesquisa e sua aplicação em um projeto de pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D) na área de gestão de documentos. O P&D GT507 foi executado na Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais. Como resultado, utilizou-se de uma estrutura proposta por Roel Wieringa para decompor um problema de pesquisa em problemas práticos e questões de conhecimento, mutualmente aninhados. |
| Abstract: | A research method should consider the creation of knowledge and the practical utility of the results. Methodological rigor should be prioritized in order to validate the research properly. The design science is a new methodology that helps organizations and researchers in solving real problems, and enables the generalization. On the other hand, the design research science (DSR) is the search method that indicates a new way for the production of relevant knowledge focused on artefacts design. Several areas can use the DSR, such as information systems, organizational management and information science. The aim of this paper is to present the DSR as a research method and its application in a research and development project (R&D) in the document management area. The R&D GT507 was executed in CEMIG, Brazil. As a result, we used a structure proposed by Roel Wieringa to decompose a search problem in practical problems and knowledge questions, mutually nested. |
