| Abstract: | Muitos termos são utilizados para aludir alterações renais. Injúria, doença e insuficiência renal caracterizam alterações clínicas laboratoriais diferentes e estas definições muitas vezes confundem o clínico veterinário, comprometendo sua conduta terapêutica e consequentemente os prognósticos de seus pacientes. Esta revisão tem como objetivo elucidar tais definições, descrevendo e ressaltando os principais pontos nas classificações com base na origem da alteração renal; pré-renal, renal e pós-renal, observando também os principais pontos da classificação proposta pela Sociedade Internacional de Interesse Renal (IRIS). |
| Abstract: | Many terms are used to refer to kidney changes. Injury, disease and renal failure characterize different clinical laboratory abnormalities and these definitions often confuse the veterinarian, compromising his therapeutic behavior and consequently the prognoses of his patients. This review aims to elucidate these definitions by describing and highlighting the main points in the classifications based on the origin of the renal alteration; pre-renal, renal and post-renal, also observing the main points of the classification proposed by the International Society of Renal Interest (IRIS). |
