| Abstract: | Objetivo: analisar produções científicas acerca das propriedades psicométricas da Escala de Solidão da UCLA. Método: revisão integrativa da literatura, entre 1978 e 2014, nas bases de dados LILACS, Cochrane, MEDLINE, CINAHL, Web of Science e PsycINFO. Resultados: o alpha de Cronbach variou de α=0,71 a α = 0,92 entre as versões, com exceção da versão reduzida ULS-4 que apresentou α =0,31 a α = 0,45. Houve falta de consenso entre os pesquisadores, tendo alguns definido a escala como unidimensional, enquanto outros como tendo dois ou mais fatores. Foi encontrada relação negativa entre a Escala de Solidão da UCLA e medidas de apoio social, disposição social, autoestima, satisfação com a vida, suporte social, medida de pertencimento percebido, autoconceito, autoavaliação de atratividade física e felicidade e relação positiva com ansiedade social, timidez e depressão. Conclusão: as evidências científicas comprovam as qualidades psicométricas da Escala de Solidão da UCLA, com exceção da ULS-4. |
| Abstract: | Objective: To analyze scientific production about the psychometric properties of the UCLA Loneliness Scale. Method: Integrative literature review between 1978 and 2014 in the following databases: LILACS, Cochrane, MEDLINE, CINAHL, Web of Science and PsycINFO. Results: Cronbach's alpha ranged from α = 0.71 to α = 0.92 between versions, except for the reduced version ULS-4 ranging from α = 0.31 to α = 0.45. There was a lack of consensus among researchers, with some defined the scale as one-dimensional, while others as having two or more factors. There were negative relationship between the UCLA Loneliness Scale and measures of social support, social disposition, self-esteem, life satisfaction, social support, perceived belonging measure, self-concept, self-rated physical attractiveness and happiness and positive relationship with social anxiety, shyness and depression. Conclusion: The scientific evidence supports the psychometricproperties of the UCLA Loneliness Scale, except for the ULS-4. |
