Other Titles: | Autobiography and "second nature": notes on Móbile da memória of Davi Arrigucci Jr. |
Authors: | Georg Otte |
Abstract: | Given that the relation between reality and its reflections in literature is problematical, the concept of a mimesis as "second nature", as defended by David Arrigucci Jr. in his essay Mobile da memória, is questioned. The author's attempt to consider the critical essay a "natural" representation of the work in question, using a series of metaphors, is analyzed. The right of the reader to demand a certain precision in the use of metaphors is defended. |
