Abstract:	O artigo apresenta uma leitura filosófica sobre a história do dandismo. Para tanto, recorre aos ensaios e textos críticos que dissertam sobre a essência de seu conceito. Objetiva-se explicitar as noções de elegância e existência estética que diferenciam o dandismo da moda. O texto pretende apontar como os detalhes da indumentária propiciam ao dândi enunciar a singularidade do espírito.
Abstract:	This paper presents a philosophical reading of dandyism. To do so, it uses essays and critical texts that dissert on the essence of its concept. The aim is to explain the notions of elegance and aesthetic existence that differentiate dandyism from fashion. The text intends to point out how the details of the clothing allow the dandy to enunciate the singularity of the spirit.
