| Abstract: | A Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) declarou a segunda Década de Ação pela Segurança Viária (2021-2030) com o objetivo de reduzir as mortes e lesões graves em acidentes de trânsito em 50% até 2030. De acordo com o último Global Status Report on Road Safety (2018), de 172 países, o Brasil, ocupa o 111º lugar no ranking decrescente da taxa de mortes por acidentes de trânsito. Desta forma, o objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar quais características do acidente de trânsito estão relacionadas à ocorrência de vítima fatal no estado de São Paulo. Através da plataforma Infosiga SP, foram analisadas as informações de acidentes de trânsito no estado de São Paulo de 2019 até 2021, consolidando em 545.635 registros. Através do uso de tabelas de classificação cruzada e do teste Qui-quadrado de Pearson, com posterior cálculo das estimativas pontuais para a razão de chances e intervalo de confiança de 95% ,foi possível identificar que acidentes com vítima fatal estão relacionados às variáveis tipo de acidente, número de envolvidos, tipo de veículo e região administrativa do acidente. Com o conhecimento gerado acerca do problema, pretende-se contribuir para uma melhor tomada de decisão no sistema público, trazendo maior eficiência na alocação de recursos, e, é claro, salvando vidas. |
| Abstract: | The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the second Decade of Action for Road Safety (2021-2030) with the aim of reducing deaths and serious injuries in road traffic crashes by 50% by 2030. According to the latest Global Status Report on Road Safety (2018), out of 172 countries, Brazil ranks 111th in the decreasing ranking of the rate of deaths from traffic accidents. Thus, the objective of this study was to identify which characteristics of traffic accidents are related to the occurrence of a fatal victim in the state of São Paulo. Through the Infosiga SP platform, information on traffic accidents in the state of São Paulo from 2019 to 2021 was analyzed, consolidating 545,635 records. Through the use of cross-classification tables and Pearson's Chi-square test, with subsequent calculation of punctual estimates for the odds ratio and 95% confidence interval, it was possible to identify which accidents with fatal victims are related to the variables type of accident, number of people involved, type of vehicle and administrative region of the accident. With the knowledge generated about the problem, it is intended to contribute to better decision-making in the public system, bringing greater efficiency in the allocation of resources, and, of course, saving lives. |
