| Abstract: | O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o funk produzido nas favelas e subúrbios cariocas e a sua difusão nas periferias de outras cidades, especialmente Belo Horizonte. A partir de um breve histórico das origens do funk, o estudo aborda a inserção do funk no contexto da música popular urbana brasileira e a sua articulação com o processo de favelização das grandes cidades brasileiras. As canções estudadas tratam da representação da periferia e do ser da periferia. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to analyze the produced funk in the favelas and suburbs of Rio and its diffusion in the outskirts of other cities, especially Belo Horizonte. From a brief history of the origins of funk, the study discusses the integration of funk in the context of urban Brazilian popular music and its articulation with the process of slums of large cities. The songs studied deal with the representation of the periphery and being on the periphery. |
