| Abstract: | O Estado Novo foi fértil na reprodução de textos contendo apologias ao regime e ao estadista Getúlio Vargas. Tal estratégia visava a difusão dos valores e ideais estadonovistas. Dentre esses materiais, selecionamos a biografia Getúlio Vargas para crianças, de autoria de Alfredo Barroso, com o objetivo de analisarmos a construção das imagens de Vargas e compreendermos o ideário daquela conjuntura. Ancoramo-nos na teoria Semiolinguística de Patrick Charaudeau, que nos ajudou a compreender: as instâncias de produção do discurso; os parceiros da troca linguageira e seus estatutos; a finalidade do ato comunicativo e as circunstâncias materiais nas quais se realiza o ato linguageiro. |
| Abstract: | The New State was fruitful in the reproduction of texts defending the regime and the statesman Getúlio Vargas. This strategy was aimed at disseminating the values and the ideals of the New State. Among these materials, we selected the biography Getúlio Vargas for children, by Alfredo Barroso, with the purpose of analyzing the construction of Vargas’ image and of understanding the ideas of that conjuncture. We draw upon the Semiolinguistic theory of Patrick Charaudeau, which helped us in understanding: the instances of discourse production; the language exchange partners and their by-laws; the purpose of the communicative act and the material circumstances in which the language act is carried out. |
