Abstract: | Introdução: a violência contra mulheres configura situação pungente de ordem social no Brasil. A baixa capacitação esteve associada a baixa notificação (p<0,001). |
Abstract: | Introduction: violence against women is a very serious social problem in Brazil. The law of violence notification (2011) created a strategy to reverse unreported cases and increase health surveillance. Objective: to understand the vision of professionals attending women in situation of violence (WSV) participants in the course on Comprehensive Care for Women in situation of violence - Project for Women, Federal University of Minas Gerais. Methods: interviews were performed using online pre-validated semi-structured questionnaires, from April 2014 to September 2016. It was verified the association between professional training with notification (p≤0.05). Results: the majority of professionals was female (75.2%), aged 20-39 years (66.1%) and had a postgraduate degree (77.2%). Just over half of the workers stated that their workplace have consultation for WSV. Only 38.9% had being trained. About 55% does not notifying the women in situation of violence in their work service. About 41% said they had difficulty completing the notification form. However, 87.3% of participants differentiate between surveillance reporting and criminal reporting. It was found that low training was associated with low notification (p <0.001). Conclusions: in this study it was demonstrated that the invisibility of violence is perpetuated by non-notification. The great challenge is the recognition of violence as a multidisciplinary theme. We emphasize the importance of services with comprehensive care to the WSV and an intersectoral surveillance system with information to bring visibility to this serious health problem in Brazil. |
