Atuação da equipe multidisciplinar no cuidado da criança com mielomeningocele: uma revisão de escopo

Abstract

The child with myelomeningocele presents motor, sensitivity, cognition alterations, among others. In view of the complexity of the situation, it is necessary to provide expanded assistance, teamwork, in which each professional can contribute with their knowledge. The objective of this study was to identify the scientific evidence on the performance of the multidisciplinary team with the child with myelomeningocele. This is a scope review carried out using the methodological framework recommended by the Joanna Briggs Institute, a method whose principles are to identify gaps in knowledge and obtain meaning for the adequacy of health care. The guiding question was established: “What is the scientific evidence on the performance of the multidisciplinary team carried out with the child with myelomeningocele?”. The research was carried out in the databases and the scientific bases consulted were: Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), SciVerse Scopus, National Library of Medicine (PubMed/ MedLine), Web of Science, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), SCOPUS, COCHRANE and Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). Articles that addressed myelomeningocele and the multidisciplinary team were included. Results and discussion: of the 596 studies found, 30 were selected and four are included in this study. Among the selected studies, the need for coordinated work is discussed, with effective communication both between the multidisciplinary team and with the health system. Finally, it was found that multidisciplinary work is of fundamental importance for the care of children with myelomeningocele, but there is still a lack of studies on how it is organized and how this patient with myelomeningocele could transit and enjoy the best care within of the health system.
