dc.description.abstract | This study analyzed the variables of occupational stress and the dimensions of the burnout syndrome in professionals of the department of product engineering of an industry of Minas Gerais. The case-study research was characterized as descriptive and quantitative. Data from the 46 questionnaires were treated using univariate and bivariate statistics. The main findings for occupational stress demonstrated that this construct is between the median and high levels, indicating that the respondents feel the stress and look for ways to combat it, adjusting their actions to the context. For burnout syndrome, the overall result showed that the respondents did not suffer from the disease, although the professional achievement dimension had a high score, pointing to the tendency of a negative self-assessment due to the difficulty in producing positive results. | pt_BR |
