Propostas metodológicas em inventários do patrimônio geomorfológico: uma análise a partir da rede conceitual alimentadora da geomorfologia

Abstract

The concept of geodiversity was initially restricted to the inventory and valuation of purely geological elements. Only from the late second half of the 20th century did the contributions of other Earth Sciences become a reality in valuing abiotic elements, seeking their qualification. It is in this context that this work addresses the Geomorphological Heritage, aiming to understand the contribution of the feeding conceptual network of geomorphological analysis to the inventory of geodiversity. In this type of heritage, the valuation of landforms is essential, as they may contain records of past and present geomorphological processes, contributing to the understanding of the Earth's history. According to the perspective defended here, the methodological proposals developed so far to inventory and assess the Geomorphological Heritage still face some challenges, given the complexity of considering methodological approaches that establish an effective intersection between geomorphological science and the geodiversity theme. In this study, seven methodological proposals intended for the inventory of the Geomorphological Heritage are analyzed, made available to the scientific community through academic papers and theses published nationally and internationally. This analysis sought to understand whether and how the feeding conceptual network of Geomorphology is interconnected and applied in the selected methodological proposals, using a systematic method of consulting digital repositories on the web. Once these proposals were selected, a careful reading of each one was followed by a cross-analysis of the set using a comparative method based on the principles of Grounded Theory. Regarding the feeding conceptual network of Geomorphology, which is epistemically sustained, we rely on the fundamental concepts that underpin the acquisition and production of knowledge in Geomorphology. Our analysis demonstrates that there are both similarities and differences in the methodological proposals concerning the epistemes that underlie Geomorphology. However, over the last twenty-two years, there has been a gradual robustness in scientific approaches to the inventory of the Geomorphological Heritage, indicating a significant improvement in the development of geoconservation strategies. Nevertheless, up to the present moment, there is no universally recognized and endorsed proposal for inventory by the scientific community. Therefore, the choice of methodological approach in valuing the Geomorphological Heritage still depends on the various emphases that may guide the scientific subject in relation to the object to be inventoried and the objectives to be achieved.
