Uma aproximação com uma organização social em rede de jovens universitários LGBT's em Minas Gerais

Abstract

This paper presents reflections developed from the monitoring of the organizational process of the Sexual Diversity Network University of Minas Gerais - RUDS / MG. The RUDS / MG brings together nine groups of young university students who work in promoting respect for sexual diversity in the state of Minas Gerais. The monitoring group was guided by intervening and interactive methodologies from theoretical principles of action research. The preliminary analysis point to the configuration of a network which political dialogue exceeds the building of practices and actions of policy surveillance for the promotion of equivalence in relation to the different sexual orientations and gender identities. To approach to this group, our investigation looked for recapturing a set of references about social movements in Brazil, university militancy and a theoretical construction on the use of the concept of "network" in collective and political actions. It appears that the network may enable a new form of organization and expansion of LGBT youth militancy which combines academic practices with political and public action. Reinforcing, then, bonds of solidarity and empowerment against the discrimination and violence, in an attempt to build a democratic society.
