| Abstract: | A região Sudeste, centro econômico e financeiro do Brasil em todo o século XX, responde por uma parcela expressiva da economia brasileira. Em 2010, essa região possuía 1.668 municípios, dentre eles grandes metrópoles, como São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro, que envolvem uma extraordinária infraestrutura produtiva. Este estudo objetivou analisar a redistribuição da força de trabalho migrante nos pequenos municípios da região Sudeste, nas três últimas décadas, com o intuito de apontar novas tendências de reordenamento de atividades econômicas nestas localidades. A partir do levantamento dos dados do censo demográfico de 1991, 2000 e 2010, obteve-se uma amostra composta por 754.432 imigrantes ocupados nos 1.429 pequenos municípios (com população inferior a 50.000 habitantes). Os resultados permitiram indicar aspectos amplos do comportamento econômico regional no Sudeste brasileiro e demonstraram a existência de arranjos espaciais compostos por pequenos municípios protagonistas de práticas não unicamente centradas na agricultura, como em outrora. |
| Abstract: | The Southeast region, economic and financial center in Brazil throughout the 20th century, accounts for a significant proportion of the Brazilian economy. In 2010, this region had 1,668 municipalities, including large metropolises such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, which involve an extraordinary productive infrastructure. This study aimed to analyze the redistribution of workforce migrant in the small municipalities of the Southeast in the last three decades, in order to point out new economic trends, as well as to reflect on the role of these municipalities as emerging centralities. Based on the data collected from the 1991, 2000 and 2010 demographic census, a sample of 754,432 immigrants occupied in 1,429 small municipalities (with a population of less than 50,000 inhabitants). The results allowed to indicate broader aspects of the regional economic behavior in the Southeast of Brazil and demonstrated the existence of spatial arrangements composed of small municipalities protagonists of practices not soleny focused on agriculture, as in the past. |
