Abstract

This article aims to bring to the discussion the standardizations foreseen and presented in the Brazilian Standards (NBRs), especially those that have the purpose of establishing norms to standardize the presentation and construction of references of scientific works, being NBR 6023 / 2002, which establishes the elements to be included in references and NBR 10520/2002, which specifies the characteristics required to submit citations in documents. The discussion focuses on the way in which the presentation of citations and references in scientific texts has been standardized in a critical perspective, with a view to discussing how the names of the female authors are placed in the texts, Explicitly the authors' identity in academic texts. This recognition goes against the usual, that is, breaks with the ideas of a society that presents itself with traces and remnants of a culture of valorization protagonist of man.
