| Abstract: | Selecionamos dois momentos da trajetória do fotógrafo Pio Figueiroa para discutir um agir que acontece no espaço fluido das fronteiras da fotografia: a atuação no coletivo fotográfico Cia de Foto e o trabalho “O pior é infinito”, em desenvolvimento. O trânsito entre linguagens, o uso de apropriação e a formação de coletivos são práticas que questionam, politicamente, o lugar do fotógrafo e os limiares da fotografia na produção contemporânea. Falas do próprio artista e escritos de Jacques Rancière – e outros autores – são acionados na discussão sobre quem fala, sobre os modos de produção e circulação de imagens nas práticas analisadas. |
| Abstract: | We selected two moments in the trajectory of the photographer Pio Figueiroa to discuss an action that takes place in the fluid space of the borders of photography: his performance in the photographic collective Cia de Foto and the work “O pior é infinito” (The worst is infinite), under development. The transit between languages, the use of appropriation and the formation of collectives are practices that question, politically, the place of the photographer/author and the limits of photography in contemporary production. The artist's own speeches and the writings of Jacques Rancière – and other authors – are used in the discussion about who speaks, about the modes of production and circulation of images in the analyzed practices. |
