Análise de implementação de BIM em construtoras no Brasil : uma revisão bibliográfica

Abstract

This study analyzed the application of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology in Brazilian construction companies, investigating the main difficulties identified in the literature regarding its implementation and the underlying causes for low adoption, as well as the benefits that this approach offers to change this scenario. The research was based on a comprehensive literature review aimed at mapping the progress of BIM implementation in the country's construction companies. Initially, we addressed the general implementation model proposed by CBIC (Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry), followed by the analysis of two successful cases in large construction companies: Constructor A, located in São Paulo, and Constructor B, headquartered in Belo Horizonte. Through the comparative analysis of these processes and the identification of their intersections, we developed a general proposal for BIM implementation in sector companies. Despite being a field still in development and not having fully realized its potential in terms of interoperability, the studied companies have already reported tangible benefits stemming from BIM implementation, such as improvements in team integration, transparency in budgets, and other significant gains.
