| Abstract: | Este breve ‘ensaio’ apresenta uma reflexão preliminar com vistas a um ulterior estudo da República atribuída a Diógenes de Sínope, em comparação com a obra homônima de Platão. Trata-se principalmente, neste primeiro esforço, de chamar a atenção para algumas peculiaridades ‘poéticas’ das duas obras, isto é, a natureza de sua composição, bem como a relação entre as suas motivações filosóficas e os seus respectivos modos de fixação e transmissão. |
| Abstract: | This short ‘essay’ presents some preliminary thoughts aiming at a more detailed comparative study of the Republic attributed to Diogenes of Sinope, along with that of Plato. In this first effort, it is mainly a matter of highlighting the ‘poetic’ peculiarities of the two works, that is, the nature of their composition, as well as the relationship between their philosophical motivations and their respective modes of fixation and transmission. |
