| Abstract: | Este artigo analisa a história do período de formação do Grupo Corpo, uma das mais importantes e longevas companhias de dança moderna do Brasil. Enfatizando o contexto no qual a companhia de dança foi criada, no fim dos anos 1970, o artigo destaca suas relações com um novo cenário estrutural no Brasil, nomeadamente as transformações na indústria cultural do país. Nesse contexto, a inserção da companhia em circuitos comerciais, combinando criatividade artística com um competente sistema de administração empresarial, funcionou como uma das principais condições de possibilidade para o desenvolvimento e sucesso da companhia. |
| Abstract: | This article analyze the early history of Grupo Corpo, one of older and important modern dance company of Brazil. Stressing the context in which the dance company was created, at the later 1970’s, the article highlights her relations with a new structural set in Brazil, namely the changing of their cultural industries. In this context, the commercial insertion of this dance company, combining artistic creativity with a competent system of business administration, worked as one of the main conditions of possibilities for the success and development of this dance company. |
