dc.description.abstract	The article investigates the circus repertoires showed in the Western region of Minas Gerais, a Brazilian State, in the transition between the 19th and 20th centuries. The main resources for this research was Gazeta de Oliveira, a newspaper published at Oliveira (that changed her name for Gazeta de Minas at 1899), whose digital archives are available. During this period, the opening of the railways facilitated the transportation of artists, animals, and objects connected to the shows, affecting, consequently, the size and the nature of the shows offered by the circuses.	pt_BR
dc.description.resumo	O artigo investiga os repertórios de espetáculos de circo oferecidos na região Oeste de Minas Gerais na transição entre os séculos 19 e 20. As principais fontes para essa pesquisa foram os jornais Gazeta de Oliveira, publicado a partir de 1887 na cidade de Oliveira (que mudou o nome para Gazeta de Minas a partir de 1899), cujos acervos, atualmente disponíveis on-line. Nesse período, a inauguração de ferrovias facilitou o transporte de artistas, animais e objetos ligados aos espetáculos, impactando, como consequência, o volume e a própria natureza dos repertórios dos espetáculos oferecidos pelos circos.	pt_BR
