| Abstract: | O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar um panorama sobre a viola na vida e obra do compositor Ernani Aguiar. A princípio, é feito um breve relato da história do instrumento no mundo e no Brasil, no intuito de contextualizar a escolha de Aguiar pela viola. Em seguida, apresentamos o seu lado instrumentista, com informações sobre sua formação e suas experiências como músico de orquestra, camerista e solista. Por fim, exibimos as principais obras solo e de câmara escritas pelo compositor, em especial as Meloritmias nº5, que contribuíram para o desenvolvimento do repertório violístico brasileiro. |
| Abstract: | This study presents a panorama about the viola in the life and work of the composer Ernani Aguiar. At first, we introduce a brief report on the history of the instrument in the world and in Brazil, in order to contextualize the choice of Aguiar by viola. Next, we present his performer side, with information about his musical education and his experiences as an orchestral and chamber musician. Lastly, we present the main solo and chamber works written by the composer, especially Meloritmias nº5, which contributed to the development of the Brazilian repertoire for viola. |
