| Abstract: | No presente estudo, discute-se a variação na gênese da toponímia da Cidade de Belo Horizonte, com especial referência à expressão planta original, a partir de uma comparação dos topônimos de quatro registros cartográficos. A análise se baseou em conceitos dos estudos de toponímia, segundo os modelos taxonômicos de Dick (1990) e Seabra (2016), e da crítica textual. Confirmou-se a hipótese de que há variação entre os topônimos presentes nesses registros e a necessidade de referência mais precisa aos referidos registros, considerando os impactos que essa ausência de precisão gera tanto na identificação de referentes quanto na interpretação das motivações. |
| Abstract: | In the present study, the variation in the genesis of the toponymy of the City of Belo Horizonte is discussed, with special reference to the expression original plan, based on the comparison of the toponyms of four cartographic records. The analysis was based on concepts of the studies on toponymy, according to taxonomic models of Dick (1990) and Seabra (2016), and textual criticism. The hypothesis that there is variation between the toponyms present in these records was confirmed, and also the need for a more precise reference to these records, considering the impacts that this lack of precision generates both in the identification of referents and in the interpretation of motivations. |
