Barreiras de acesso ao lazer das mulheres segundo raça/cor e classe social nas regiões sudeste e nordeste do Brasil

Abstract

This work is an excerpt from a broader research that aimed to investigate the leisure of the Brazilian population from three main questions: what do Brazilians do in their leisure time? What would youlike to do? And why not? 2.400 people residing in the Brazilian territory were interviewed, proportionally divided into five macro-regions of the country, involving all states of the federation and the Federal District. As a result of the research, we identified that the barriers of access to leisure are mainly related to the lack of time and money for the population to experience what they would like. Specifically in this text, we analyze how these barriers are manifested in women living in the southeast and northeast regions, comparing and crossing the categories of color / race and social class. We concluded that, in addition to the lack of time and financial resources being pointed out by women more than men as impediments to leisure experiences, the limitations are greater for women from the Northeast of the lower class, as well as for black Brazilian women in both regions.
