| Abstract: | O trabalho contribui para a literatura de crescimento com restrição no balanço de pagamentos ao investigar a relação entre os Sistemas Nacionais de Inovação (SNI) e a restrição externa em uma análise para Brasil, Índia e China. As estimações das elasticidades-renda de exportações e importações a nível setorial dão suporte à lei de Thirlwall. A análise por Vetores Auto Regressivos sugere que é possível estabelecer um vínculo entre ambos os conceitos. |
| Abstract: | The paper contributes to the balance-of-payments constraint growth literature investigating the relation between the National Systems of Innovation (NSI) and the external constraint in an analysis for Brazil, India and China. The estimations for the foreign trade income elasticities at disaggregate levels support Thirlwall‟s law. The Auto Regressive Vectors analysis suggests that it is possible to establish a link between both concepts. |
