dc.description.abstractOne of the significant challenges of modern society is reconciling environmental conservation with the increasing demand for raw materials and areas to meet human needs. From this perspective, territorial management and planning emerge as tools for promoting the development of human activities in balance with the preservation of environmental systems. In this study, we aimed to conduct a spatial analysis of the development of Sete Lagoas Municipality, based on its regulatory norm (Master Plan), and its potential impact on an endangered species, the Wilson's Faveiro. The analysis involved the spatialization of space categorization typologies using the division of Brazilian census tracts prepared by IBGE, land use and land cover data from MapBiomas, Collection6 for the year 2021, and the municipal urban perimeter defined in the municipality's master plan, last revised in 2019. From this analysis, it was observed that the species' habitat area underwent a change in its typology due to the master plan update, shifting from rural to urban area starting in 2019. This change may pose a risk of increased habitat fragmentation for the species, as urban land subdivision is more intense and on a smaller scale than in rural areas. Additionally, there was an attempt to establish a Municipal Environmental Protection Area (APA) for the protection of the species.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoUm dos grandes desafios da sociedade moderna é o equacionamento da conservação ambiental com a crescente demanda de matéria prima e áreas para suprir as necessidades humana. Nessa perspectiva a gestão e o ordenamento territorial se apresentam como um instrumento de promoção do desenvolvimentos das atividades humanas em equilíbrio com a manutenção dos sistemas ambientais. Neste trabalho buscou-se realizar uma análise espacial, do desenvolvimento do município de Sete Lagoas, a partir de sua norma reguladora (Plano diretor) e seu possível impacto em uma espécie ameaçada de extinção, o Faveiro-de-Wilson. A partir desta análise, foi possível observar que a área de ocorrência da espécie sofreu alteração de sua tipologia pela atualização do plano diretor, deixando de ser área rural e tornando-se área urbana a partir de 2019 o que pode representar o risco de maior fragmentação do habitat da espécie, uma vez que, o parcelamento do solo urbano é feito de forma mais intensa e em menor escala do que na Zona Rural, observou-se ainda a tentativa de criação de uma Área de Proteção Ambiental – APA municipal para proteção da espécie.pt_BR
