| Title: | Unidades climáticas em Belo Horizonte e região, estado de Minas Gerais: proposta preliminar |

| Abstract: | A interação entre os componentes atmosféricos e a superfície terrestre resultam no mosaico diferenciado de climas. Para tanto é fundamental a compreensão desse sistema, em diferentes escalas, uma vez que influenciam diretamente nos processos naturais e atividades humanas. Considerando esse aspecto, o objetivo deste artigo foi apresentar uma proposta (preliminar) de compartimentação do clima em Belo Horizonte e região. Os procedimentos metodológicos incluíram a análise dos dados de estações meteorológicas, imagens de satélite e cartas sinóticas dos meses de julho e novembro de 2017, representativos de condições de tempo seco e frio e quente e chuvoso, respectivamente. A espacialização dos resultados na forma de mapas de isotermas e isoietas mostrou evidente relação entre a variação dos atributos climáticos com controles dinâmicos atmosféricos (massas de ar) e de superfície, principalmente o relevo, amplificando ou atenuando os impactos de resfriamento, conservação de calor e chuvas. |
| Abstract: | The interaction between atmospheric components and the Earth's surface results in a differentiated mosaic of climates. To this end, it is essential to understand this system at different scales, since it directly influences natural processes and human activities. Considering this aspect, the objective of this article was to present a (preliminary) proposal for compartmentalizing the climate in Belo Horizonte and the region. The methodological procedures included the analysis of data from meteorological stations, satellite images and synoptic charts for the months of July and November 2017, representing dry and cold and hot and rainy weather conditions, respectively. The spatialization of the results in the form of isotherm and isohyet maps showed a clear relationship between the variation of climate attributes with dynamic atmospheric (air masses) and surface controls, mainly relief, amplifying or attenuating the impacts of cooling, heat conservation and rainfall. |
