dc.description.abstractThis paper presents an excerpt from the research entitled “Where are the former students of the Pedagogy course at UFOP? Getting to know the trajectory and professional place of these graduates” which aimed to investigate the professional role that the graduates of the Pedagogy course who graduated after the implementation of the new curriculum established by Resolution CNE/CP No. 1/2006 are exercising. This text presents the profile, academic background and how the graduates of the Pedagogy course at UFOP entered the job market. The qualitative research used document analysis using the regulations that govern the course; from bibliographic research, based on articles, dissertations and theses that discuss the theme and from field research that used an online questionnaire to collect data from 145 graduates who completed the course between 2012 and 2015. The investigation was based on scholars such as Cambi (1999), Saviani (2008), Libâneo (2010), among others. Content analysis was used to process the data. 70 graduates participated in the research and as a result, we identified the occurrence of a high dropout rate in the Pedagogy course at UFOP and the need to investigate this phenomenon. We found that the majority of graduates of the Pedagogy course at UFOP are women, native to the region where the higher education institution investigated is located, with a predominance of white and mixed-race single women. The majority of graduates attended high school without professional qualifications and entered and completed their undergraduate studies when they were between 20 and 30 years old. The majority, 75.7%, are currently working; 72.9% work in the education sector; 51.4% in public institutions; 41.4% started working while still in their undergraduate studies and 28.6% got their job through resume selection. Studies such as this may indicate new directions regarding the structure and management of the Pedagogy course, since it still presents a challenge for the field of research and teacher training.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoO trabalho apresenta um recorte da pesquisa intitulada “Por onde andam os exalunos do curso de Pedagogia/UFOP? Conhecendo a trajetória e o lugar profissional desses egressos” que teve como objetivo investigar a função profissional que os egressos do curso de Pedagogia formados após a implantação do novo currículo estabelecido pela Resolução CNE/CP Nº1/2006 estão exercendo. Este texto apresenta o perfil, a formação acadêmica e como ocorreu a inserção dos egressos do curso de Pedagogia da UFOP no mercado de trabalho. A pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa fez uso da análise documental recorrendo às normativas que tratam do curso; da pesquisa bibliográfica, embasada em artigos, dissertações e teses que discutem a temática e da pesquisa de campo que utilizou um questionário on-line para coletar dados de 145 egressos que concluíram o curso no período de 2012 a 2015. A investigação fundamentou-se em estudiosos como Cambi (1999), Saviani (2008), Libâneo (2010), dentre outros. No tratamento dos dados foi utilizada a análise de conteúdo. Participaram da pesquisa 70 egressos e como resultados, identificamos a ocorrência de acentuada evasão no curso de Pedagogia na UFOP e a necessidade de investigar esse fenômeno. Constatamos que os egressos do curso de Pedagogia da UFOP se constituem, em sua maioria, por mulheres, naturais da região onde a instituição de ensino superior investigada está inserida, se sobressaindo aquelas de cor branca e parda, solteiras. A maioria dos egressos cursou o Ensino Médio sem habilitação profissional e ingressaram e concluíram a graduação quando tinham entre 20 e 30 anos. A maior parte, 75,7%, está trabalhando atualmente; 72,9% atua na área educacional; 51,4% em instituições públicas; 41,4% iniciou o trabalho enquanto quando ainda cursava a graduação e 28,6% obteve o emprego por seleção de currículo. Estudos como este podem sinalizar novas orientações no que se refere a estrutura e a condução do curso de Pedagogia, visto que este se apresenta ainda como um desafio para o campo da pesquisa e da formação de professores.pt_BR
