O que determina a escolha por um curso? um estudo sobre os motivos, os aspectos e as razões que conduziram pedagogos a optarem pelo curso de pedagogia

Abstract

This article presents a study built from the texts obtained from semi-structured interviews conducted with teachers, where there have been aspects that led these professionals to identify with the educational area, to attend Pedagogy and opt or not for this profession if they did the choice today. The text is an excerpt of the data collected for a Master's research developed in the Graduate Education UFOP Program. The methodology, biographical nature, made use of a questionnaire, which sought to identify the profile of pedagogues and a semi-structured interview, designed in this perspective, which sought to explain the voices of the subjects who narrated their stories, experiences, their contexts, suffered influences and your choices. The results indicated the various aspects that led the pedagogues to identify with the educational area: a personal choice and taste for educational area; the desire and the child's dream; the influence of the family and even the lack of choice. About the motivation to study pedagogy, for most, the course of the Magisterium was decisive. As for the choice of a profession today, 90% of respondents would choose again the course. The approach adopted has highlighted feelings and representations about the choices of pedagogues and showed that the choice of course was influenced by gender, historical time and geographical space, as well as other references.
