| Abstract: | Cabe a esta dissertação um debruçar sobre a novela Um copo de cólera (1978), de Raduan Nassar, com o objetivo de analisar quanti/qualitativamente os discursos feminino e masculino dos personagens principais da obra. A partir da elaboração de uma tabela, pretendeu-se não somente localizar as falas, como também realizar uma análise pormenorizada dos diálogos, de forma a esclarecer os pontos maisimportantes da narrativa a respeito da relação homem-mulher, bem como seus lugares de fala ao longo da novela. A hipótese é de que a cólera do chacareiro explode quando ele vê a cerca-viva dilacerada e, em seguida, parte para a discussão com a jornalista como se ela fosse a saúva que destruiu a cerca. Assim, pôde-se enxergar a violência contida nos eventos ocorridos na obra e compará-los com a realidade do país. A sedução masculina utilizada como ferramenta de dominação foi equiparada analogamente à serpente que ludibriou Eva no Jardim do Éden para morder a maçã. Isso para que, no fim, retorne-se à Gênesis, ao começo novamente, ao ciclo que este livro representa de tantas maneiras. Para tal, foram utilizados como referenciais teóricos os conceitos de dominação masculina, de erotismo, de páthos, de cólera, de teoria feminista, de violência de gênero e o livro de Gênesis. |
| Abstract: | This dissertation leans over the novel “A cup of rage” (1978) by Raduan Nassar, aiming to analyze both quantitatively and qualitatively the feminine and masculine discourses of its protagonists. A chart was elaborated with the intention of not only locating the speeches but also making a detailed analysis of the dialogs, in order to clarify the narrative’s main points regarding the man-woman relations as well as their standpoints throughout the novel. The hypothesis is that the farmer explodes as he sees the ripped hedge and then proceeds to discuss with the journalist as if she was herself the leaf-cutter ant that destroyed the hedge. Following that, it was possible to visualize the violence within the events of the plot and compare them with the Brazilian reality. The male seduction used as a domination tool was analogically equated to the serpent as it deceives Eve in the Garden of Eden to bite the apple. This return to the Garden is made to lead to the return to Genesis, to the beginning once again, to the cycle that this book represents in so many ways. To achieve this, theoretical references were used, such as male domination, erotism, pathos, rage, feminist theory, gender violence and the Book of Genesis. |
