| Abstract: | O sucesso de um flautista em uma audição orquestral está intimamente ligado a uma eficiente preparação. Este processo envolve tanto o conhecimento das principais características do repertório solicitado quanto à criação de estratégias de estudo deste repertório. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivos discutir os principais itens avaliados nos três excertos orquestrais mais solicitados no Brasil entre os anos de 2009 e 2014 (Sonhos de uma noite de verão, Scherzo - Mendelssohn, Prélude à laprès-mid dun Faune - Debussy e Daphnis et Chloe - Ravel) e descrever as estratégias adotadas por flautistas integrantes de importantes orquestras brasileiras fazendo um paralelo ao preparo de um esportista para competições. Foi aplicado um questionário semiaberto a dez flautistas integrantes de quatro grandes orquestras brasileiras que permitiu coletar e analisar informações tanto sobre as estratégias utilizadas pelos flautistas entrevistados durante o período de preparação para uma audição orquestral quanto suas observações sobre cada um dos excertos selecionados. Observou-se que o preparo dos diferentes flautistas entrevistados eram similares entre si e ao processo adotado por atletas no período que antecede uma competição. Ainda, foram comparadas entre si as características mais relevantes apresentadas pelos flautistas entrevistados em cada excerto orquestral. |
| Abstract: | The success of a flutist in an orchestral audition is closely related to an effective preparation. This process involves comprehension of the requested repertoire for the audition and the formulation of practice strategies. This research aims to discuss the main items evaluated in the three most requested orchestral excerpts in Brazil between 2009 and 2014 (Dreams of a Summer Night, Scherzo - Mendelssohn, Prélude à l'après-mid d'un Faune - Debussy and Daphnis et Chloe - Ravel) and describes the strategies adopted by flutists of Brazilian orchestras comparing to the preparation process of an athlete for a competition. A semi open questionnaire was answered by ten flutists of four important Brazilian orchestras. The answers allowed collecting and analyzing information about the strategies used by these flutists during the run-up to an orchestral audition and their comments on each of the three orchestral excerpts. It w as observed that the preparation strategies of different flutists were similar to each other and to methods applied by athletes in preparation for a competition. The most relevant characteristic s presented by the interviewed flutists were analyzed in each orchestral excerpt. |
