| Abstract: | Cada vez mais freqüentes são as situações clínicas em que o conceito de plataforma trocada tem sido aplicado nas reabilitações com implantes. O presente trabalho de revisão literária analisou e comparou as taxas de sucesso, a perda óssea marginal e os resultados estéticos da plataforma trocada em implantes dentais osseointegráveis em relação à plataforma convencional, a partir dos bancos de dados PUBMED e BIREME, onde foram selecionados 14 artigos originais dosúltimos 10 anos relacionados ao tema. A partir da literatura consultada pôde-se concluir que as taxas de sucesso da plataforma trocada foram tão elevadas quanto às taxas da plataforma convencional; o uso da plataforma trocada é um método simples e eficaz de reduzir a reabsorção da crista óssea peri-implantar; e os resultados estéticos são previsíveis e satisfatórios. |
| Abstract: | The clinical situations in which the platform switching concept has been applied in rehabilitations of implants are becoming more frequent. The present study of literature review analyzed and compared the success rates, marginal bone loss and the cosmetic outcome of the platform switching in osseointegrated dental implants compared to conventional platform, from the database PubMed and BIREME, where were selected 14 original articles from the last 10 years related to the theme. Fromthe literature review it was concluded that the success rates of the platform switching were as high as the rates of conventional platform, the use of the platform switching is a simple and effective method of reducing peri-implant crestal bone loss, and the aesthetic outcome are predictable and satisfactory. |
