Abstract

The Health Center Santa Amelia is located in the neighborhood of the same name, belonging to the Regional Pampulha. The Dental Service is offered to the public since 1996, but the Team Dental Health had not learned to work in practice integrated with other medical specialties unit. This problem has prolonging over the years without any discussion with respect to our actions and consequent results. We know that the Program of Family Health proposes a new dynamic where you work strengthens the link and commitment to the community in which we are responsible. The objective of this study was to assess the actual involvement of the Oral Health Team with the activities that take place at the Health Center and the practical possibilities of change in our day to day. Despite the differences in behavior and ideologies, we saw that this is possible, provided there is an available pool, daily devotion, constant dialogue and willingness to change. He then created a new perspective of action for the Team Professional Oral Health, where the activities were extended beyond the scope of the dental office, going to seek greater involvement and commitment throughout the health center, breaking paradigms and experiencing relationship difficulties inherent in any human group that is housed in a common area, while improving the strategies of health care that seeking this service.
