| Abstract: | Este estudo aponta a dificuldade do idoso na terapêutica plurimedicamentosa e seus efeitos colaterais com o objetivo de intervir junto à população idosa a fim de prevenir o uso terapêutico medicamentoso e identificar as causas, alterações, efeitos colaterais e consequências para garantir o bem-estar geral dos idosos e o uso correto dos medicamentos prescritos. Entender e conscientizar-se dos tipos de iatrogenia, de suas causas e consequências por meio da revisão bibliográfica possibilita aos profissionais de saúde a adoção de propostas e formas diferentes de intervenção como as ações preventivas da Unidade de Saúde, minimizando as dificuldades apresentadas pelos idosos como as complicações iatrogênicas. |
| Abstract: | This study highlights the difficulty in treating elderly with several drugs and its side effects in order to intervene with the elderly population to prevent the therapeutic use of medications and identify the causes, changes, side effects and consequences to ensure the general welfare of elderly and the correct use of prescription drugs. Understanding and becoming aware of the types of iatrogenic injuries, its causes and consequences through the literature review enables health professionals to adopt different proposals and ways of intervention as the prevention initiatives of the health unit, minimizing the difficulties presented by elderly as the iatrogenic complications. |
