Proposta de prevenção e diagnóstico precoce de lesões de mucosa e câncer de boca no município de Taiobeiras/MG

Abstract

Public health in the coming decades will have a big challenge with its aging population, with respect to oral health and therefore the development of public policies for this age cycle has become a priority. In the municipality of Taiobeiras as a strategy for health promotion and prevention in the elderly was carried out campaign of the 1st Week of Oral Health of the Elderly. According to data obtained in the campaign, 95% of users are suffering from dental, 40% had some type of mucosal damage such as, blisters, ulcers, hyperplasia, swelling, wounds, among others. Since the reported injuries are more prevalent in patients with dental prostheses, especially denture. From these data, this paper is to propose a program of prevention and health promotion that has the purpose to obtain an early diagnosis of lesions in the mouth with malignant potential and, in its initial phase and in its terminal phase, identify the possible causal factors and present forms of treatment to obtain a favorable prognosis. The performance will be based on promotion, prevention and treatment through individual and collective service performed by the professional staff of the Family Health Program (PSF), with a focus on family relations of patients assisted in making explicit the need for more health actions for resolving this age group.
