Abstract

Tetanus and hepatitis B are diseases avoidable prior immunization. In order to ensure careful mother and offspring the objective of this study is do a review of the literature on the importance of the adhrence of the pregnant woman to the vaccination scheme, through an integrative review. Used search in database of BIREME with pre-selected descriptors, resulting initially in collecting 224 studies. The articles found was in English language (42.86%), Portuguese (41.52%), Spanish (12.94%), French (1.78%), German and Hungarian (0.45% each). The database LILACS contributed 80.00% of all the studies. After selection and classification of 12 studies, the predominant data collected were Portuguese language (91.67%), and the year of greater publication occurred in 2008 (33.34%) followed by the years 2003 and 2009 (16.67% each). One of the 12 studies (8.33%) mention the effectiveness of vaccine immunization anti-tetânica in gestation through laboratory tests; 4 studies (33.34%) relate to the evaluation of vaccine coverage in pregnant women with antitetânica immunizations and the rates ranging from 33.5% to 100% and 70% of lost opportunities for immunizations in the municipality of Juiz de Fora-MG; and 7 studies (58.33%) make references the viral hepatitis and 6 studies are bouth the rate of HBsAg found in pregnant prenatal sorted, ranging from 0.3% to 8.7% in various regions of Brazil and 1 study mentions the knowledge of Obstetricians front pipes against hepatitis in pregnancy. Concluded that anti-tetânica vaccination rates did not reach half of advocated by the Ministry of health and that there is a need to deploy the hepatitis B vaccine and performing the serology for hepatitis B virus in pregnant women, with the purpose to prevent the vertical transmission of the disease, as is suggested in the technical note of the Ministry of health (ANNEX-A)
