Abstract: | This study is a narrative bibliographic review, from the national publications, which seeks to systematize the knowledge about viral hepatitis in Brazil to subsidize the prevention and control disease actions, within the framework of primary care and Family Health Program of the municipality of Itamarandiba, Minas Gerais. The viral hepatitides are a major public health problem with significant morbidity and mortality. Even so, data reveal the underreporting, where the majority of people with viral hepatitis virus ignore their disease stage. Therefore, it is important to create strategies that intensify and enhance prevention and control actions. There are no doubts about the need to plan, develop strategies for viral hepatitides and implement activities in routine services of Family Health Teams. The issues identified in the literature review conducted on the epidemiological behaviour of these problems indicate that it is possible to rearrange health services, providing subsidies to health professionals on the importance of searching new knowledge and offering a better quality of health assistance. |
